You will have weekly deliverables, which may include virtual classes, assigned readings, lectures, engaging resources and activities, discussion forums and online assessments. The course also discusses various common disease states and their effective treatment, relating the classification of drugs to this treatment. The student is exposed to both generic and brand names of most drugs. In Ontario, pharmacy technicians are regulated by the Ontario College of Pharmacists. To work as a technician, you must complete an accredited program, register with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, and pass licensing exams. Participation in CPD is mandatory and complementary to other Continuing Competence activities and programs. Physician Achievement Review has been replaced by Practice Checkup, Individual Practice Review and Group Practice Review, which offer physicians practice-specific data to help inform their CPD.

Also covered in this unit is how to access and use the features of the Penn Foster website, establish a study schedule, use study tips, and prepare for and take examinations. Programs using the FQFA process receive applications year round and maintain an application pool for each academic year. Qualified applicants who are not offered a seat must reapply for the next academic year. Accepted applicants are required to provide evidence of current N95 respirator mask testing within one year of the hospital practicum. The cost of N95 respirator mask testing is your responsibility.
Topics include medical terminology; the structure of the human body; and the skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, nervous, integumentary, endocrine, and reproductive systems. This course provides an introduction to the Microsoft® Windows operating system, Internet Explorer browser, and Outlook infor mation manager; word processing, and data processing applications. In addition, this course offers an introduction to applications and procedures specific to Herzing College. On the other hand, pharmacy assistants are NOT regulated in Ontario. Training is shorter and there are no provincial qualifying exams. You should receive your TDM exam results within 4 weeks of writing the exam.
