Why Shower Tub Combos are Worth It

When it’s time to purchase a home, or even have one built from scratch, a major decision that’s often overlooked is the type of shower or bathtub you’ll use. In your bathrooms, you can choose to have a standalone shower, a bathtub by itself, or both. Most modern-day housing comes with shower tub combos, the new standard for personal hygiene. The benefits of having both a shower and tub at your convenience are higher than having just one alone.

It’s Your Choice

Some days after coming home from a long day of work you want to just relax in your bathtub surrounded by nice smelling bubbles. Some days you come home and take a quick shower just to get the stench of the day off of you. Having a shower and tub combo gives you the options to have both of these types of days back to back since you don’t need to worry about having just a shower or just a tub.

Saves Space

One issue that people run into when they decide if they want a shower or tub, or both, is space. Unless you have a really large bathroom, it would be a tight fit trying to fit in both a bathtub and a shower separately in a confined space. Having a shower and tub in one saves on a lot of space while still giving you the option to choose which one you prefer at the time.

Easier for the Elderly and Children

Having a shower and tub combination makes giving a child a bath any easy task, especially if you only have one bathroom. Young toddlers and babies take baths to get clean so having just a shower will not only prove to be difficult, but it will also get messy. Just as younger children can’t help themselves, there are some elderly that also can’t bathe or shower alone. Having a combination gives them enough room to put a chair in the bathtub to clean themselves and also the opportunity to transition to a bath if they want.

If you’re in the market for a bathroom upgrade or if you’re shopping around for a new house, make choosing the type of shower or bathtub, or combo you have is important. Shower tub combos save space, money, and are safer for younger children and older adults to use. Having a shower and tub together gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to how you want to clean your body.
