When it’s time to purchase a home, or even have one built from scratch, a major decision that’s often overlooked is the type of shower or bathtub you’ll use. In your bathrooms, you can choose to have a standalone shower, a bathtub by itself, or both. Most modern-day housing comes with shower tub combos, the new standard for personal hygiene. The benefits of having both a shower and tub at your convenience are higher than having just one alone.

Some days after coming home from a long day of work you want to just relax in your bathtub surrounded by nice smelling bubbles. Some days you come home and take a quick shower just to get the stench of the day off of you. Young toddlers and babies take baths to get clean so having just a shower will not only prove to be difficult, but it will also get messy. Just as younger children can’t help themselves, there are some elderly that also can’t bathe or shower alone. Having a combination gives them enough room to put a chair in the bathtub to clean themselves and also the opportunity to transition to a bath if they want.
