Book Review - Through the Storm by Sha'Givens

In her job Julia Roberts has starred other a number of Hollywood's leading men sometimes making more than one film with them. With Brad Pitt they have appeared in 3 films together and with Clive Owen it has been 2. But certainly one of Julia Roberts more famous relationships is by using Richard Gere who together have created 2 films together "Very Girl" and "Runaway Bride"

Very Girl (1990)

Throughout a company trip to LA, businessman Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) finds herself struggling to access grabs with a top sports car though trying to make his way to Beverly Hills. Forced to pull around and look for guidelines he meets prostitue Vivian (Julia Roberts) who not just allows him guidelines but ends up taking over the driving. A very important factor brings to a different and Edward pays Vivian to invest the night with him. Gained around by Vivian's entertaining personality, Edward shows that she uses the week with him, accompanying him to functions, maintaining him company in a completely business manner. However it doesn't get really miss often of these to understand that their thoughts for each other run deeper than a company arrangement.

Despite being 20 years old "Very Girl" is really as still as common as it was when introduced all those decades ago. A fairytale type storyline with a variety of romance and comedy along with an unique soundtrack, "Very Girl" hit an accord with the public. At once in addition it offered people the coupling of Julia Roberts and Richard Gere whose chemistry started off of the screen. However it may have been so various as Julia Roberts was by no means first choice for the position of Vivian and there were other leading men being considered for the position of Edward. Plus originally "Very Girl" was to be a black episode of a drug passionate prostitue, maybe not the cozy romantic comedy which we know and love.

Runaway Bride (1999)

When New York Columnist Ike Graham (Richard Gere)  Leads genereren  learns about a woman who every time agrees to have committed feet it before saying "I Do", he decides to publish a line about her. What he did not count on is that the lady,Maggie Carpenter (Julia Roberts) might read his article and produce the official criticism about it, leading to his supervisor shooting him. Identified to find out the facts, Ike brains to the little town wherever Maggie lives in the trust of showing he was right. What he finds is that not just is Maggie planning to decrease the aisle once more but he has thoughts for her.

Comapring "Runaway Bride" to "Very Girl" benefits in one points, featuring that "Runaway Bride" is really a weaker movie. It suffers from an fundamentally daft storyline which spirals out of control and although the chemistry remains between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere the storyline doesn't lend it self to show it. Don't misunderstand me "Runaway Bride" is not just a poor film, it has some interesting views and plenty of comedy but because it's a Julia Roberts and Richard Gere Film it thinks poor to "Very Girl ".
