Feather Flags are Inexpensive, Eye-Catching Advertising

You’ve seen them but maybe didn’t know what they were called. They’re those air-dancing flags outside of a business promoting a special sale or upcoming event the business has. In the advertising world, they’re usually called either “feather flags,” or “swooper flags,” or “flag banners.” Regardless of the name you call them, these flags or banners make great advertising sense for any business – no matter the product or service being advertised, and no matter how large or small the business may be.

Advantages to Using Feather Flags or Banners

One of the least expensive forms of advertising, these flag banners capture the attention of passersby no matter the time of day or night. They come in an array of colors, usually something that pops. Also, they’re secured firmly and stand upright all the time; and if there’s the slightest bit of wind, they move with it, creating even more attention.

There are also different kinds of bases that sit on top of the ground, and for additional sturdiness, water, sand bags or the like can be placed across the base, ensuring they won’t tip over in normal wind conditions.

Lifespan of Flag Banners

It’s not recommended that the flag banners be left outdoors during high winds or other types of severe weather. With periodic use and proper care and storing, your custom banner should last three or more years. If used everyday outdoors, the lifespan will be approximately one year. Custom banners used for events just a few times a month will easily last five years, assuming you’re using proper care.  

Naturally, the longer the flag banners are left outdoors, the faster they will fade. And if you’re using them outdoors 24/7, they will probably have to be replaced within nine months to a year. If you are in a state such as California, Arizona, or Texas, where you experience high heat and dry weather, you will probably need to replace your flag banners sooner because they will fade faster.

But whether you’re replacing your feather flags or flag banners three to five years apart, or every year, the cost is nominal and far exceeded by the benefits.
