3 Super quick and nutritious recipes for your toddler
One of the major challenges that parents face often is preparing nutritious that is great for their kid’s health, yet yummy meals for their toddlers. It only gets more challenging if you are a working mom. Meal times is when your child needs most of your attention and need to eat food that will good for their body.
We give you three quick recipes that are easy to make and high in nutrition. These recipes are yummy and certain something that your toddler will ask more of.
- Chicken and corn tacos:
Ingredients:
1 bowl of chicken
1 bowl of corn
1 bowl of bell peppers
1 bowl of carrots
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 packet of Taco bread
Grated cheese
Method:
Boil the corn and chicken. In a large bowl mix bell peppers, carrots, boiled corn and chicken. Add in a pinch salt along with two tablespoons of mayonnaise and give it a mix. Heat the taco bread and fill in the mixture in it. Add grated cheese to it.
Tip:
Vegetarians can substitute chicken with beans or soya chunks. You can also add some avocados to these tacos.
- Hummus and cucumber wraps:
Ingredients:
½ packet of Tortillas cut in halves
1 bowl of Hummus
2 Thinly sliced cucumber
A pinch of rock salt and pepper
Method:
Grill and let the tortillas rest. The spread the hummus evenly to the entire tortilla. Place the thinly sliced cucumber over it. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper on it. Roll it and serve in bite-size pieces.
Tips:
You can mix the hummus with boiled squash or pumpkin.
- Yoghurt parfait:
1 bowl of plain yoghurt
½ cup of boiled and sliced sweet potato
1 bowl of oatmeal or granola
Method:
In a mason jar or cup layer each of ingredients, alternately. You can add golden syrup or honey or even applesauce if your toddler has a sweet tooth.
Tip:
You can also add seasonal fruits to this parfait.
