The Best Jamaican Radio Station - Mello FM

Mello FM is known as the only radio channel telecasting Reggae Music live from Jamaica. This leading market radio broadcasts its transmission from the city of Montego Bay, St. James. The offices and studios of the network are located at 3 Cargill Avenue, Kingston in Jamaica as well as 69 Barnett St, Montego Bay in Jamaica. The channel uses a format of Talk/Caribbean music. The station always remains online around the clock. It telecasts live from West Jamaica by using a frequency of 88.5 MHz.

The station which was established on 1 December 2003 started to broadcast with a catchphrase “station that plays strong songs.” It began its coverage in the city of West Jamaica on 1 November 2004. The cities which it covers in western Jamaica are Westmoreland, St. James, St. Ann’s Hanover sections, Trelawny as well as St. Elizabeth.

2010 was considered as the golden era in the history of the network. Initially, it used to cover just Western Jamaican regions, but later in 2010, it started its broadcasting on the entire island. Mello FM Online Streaming is available here. 

The aim and mission of the station are to compete for the market and amuse the audience with Reggae music in mellow sound. It focuses on providing the best and new feel to the lovers of Reggae music.

The day is started by Host VJ at 5 am with Gospel Train show; it is an hour-long show which ends at 6 am.
From 6 to 7:30, a 1 and a half hour show Mello Day Break kicks in which is presented by Ron Muschette. From 7:30 to 7:45, a 15 minutes news headlines are provided by Heather Cummings in Major News.
It's again Ron Muschette who comes live from 7:45 to 10 am in his show Mello Day Break.
Perfect Mix show hosted by Mello DJ airs live from 10 to 12:30 pm.
