Complete Information About The KCET 2020

KCET is the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Aspirant needs to appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) in order to get admission in B.Arch courses in the state of Karnataka. Through this exam KCET, candidates get admission in Medical, Engineering, Architecture etc courses available. This exam conducts in offline mode. The application form for KCET 2020 will release in Ist week of February 2020 at the official website. All interested and eligible candidates can fill the application form of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test. The exam will be conducted in the 3rd week of April 2020. Qualification Required to Appear For KCET 2020 Exam

For Engineering Students

Aspirant must pass 10+2 examination from any recognized educational institute

  • You must have Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as optional subjects
  • Study of English language is must in 12th class.
  • Min 50% marks is required
  • For SC/ST, 45% is required

For Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga

  • Student must pass 10+2 from a recognized board
  • Candidate must have Biology, Physics and Chemistry
  • English is also required.
  • 50% passing marks for general candidates.
  • 45% passing marks of SC/ST candidates.

For Medical/Dental

  • Student must pass 10+2 from recognized boards.
  • Students must have Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
  • English language is also preferable.
  • 50% passing marks for general aspirants.
  • 45% passing marks for SC/ST aspirants.

For Architecture

  • Student must pass 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Students must have Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  • 50% passing marks for the general aspirant.
  • 45%passing marks for the SC/ST students.

For Agriculture

  • Student must pass 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Student must have Biology, physics and Chemistry.
  • 50% passing marks for the general aspirant.
  • 45%passing marks for the SC/ST candidates.


How to Apply For the Exam who belong to Karnataka

  • Brochure cum application forms are available at the schools / colleges located within Karnataka.
  • Aspirants have to first download the bank challan from KEA website by entering their name, date of birth, category and the name of the bank.
  • You have to pay the requisite fee in any of the respective bank branches.
  • The bank will retain a copy of the challan and handover the remaining two copies of the challan to the candidates..
  • Students have to handover the challan to the concerned school/college principal to obtain the brochure.

For Non-Karnataka

  • Candidates of Karnataka origin residing outside the state of Karnataka including Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadigas and wards of Jammu & Kashmir migrants can obtain the Karnataka CET application form through speed post.
  • Candidates have to send a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 25cm x 30cm along with a demand draft (DD) of Rs 750/- drawn in favor of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore.” The DD should be payable at Bangalore.
  • The Karnataka candidates residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a DD of Rs 5,000/- to KEA.
  • The contents on the self-addressed envelope should be written in English or Kannada language only.
  • The cover in which the DD and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly super scribed with the words “REQUEST FOR CET BROCHURE” and must be sent to the address of Executive Director by speed post only.
