Your Puppy Training – How Early Should You Start?

As soon as people get their puppy home, they want to train him to be the best. Puppies are naïve and small. They might do things that are undesirable. However, as compared to matured dogs, you can create a deeper bond with puppies. The only requirement is that you should give him a little freedom before you bang your head for his training. Formal dog training might be too heavy for a puppy and thus, you should at least wait for 4 to 5 months before calling someone for his professional dog training.

Now, you are not engaging your puppy into the formal dog training, this does not mean you should take any efforts to teach him manners. Puppies are like babies, the more you caress them, the better they will become. We have observed many puppy owners who never had to rely on any kind of puppy training in Auckland. You should not start the professional puppy training in Auckland early, but you can start your own training at your own pace. As soon as you get your puppy home, it is necessary that you take him to a vet. The vet will check him for any infections and will make him fit to enter in your house. Next, you should buy a unique leash, so that you can take him in public and you can ensure that he is safe. While your puppy is harnessed with a leash, he will not run out in the middle of road leaving you awestruck. With the help of a leash, you will train your puppy to walk on the roads with great care.

You should spend time with your puppy at home. However, you should ensure that your puppy is getting enough time to play outside in the parks as well. Make a dog house for your puppy and train him a little on where should he pee and poo. These little things will help him when the trainer will give him a hard time. With a little more attention towards your puppy, you can assure that he is at least 30% trained before he reaches the training school.

Puppies heel very well and this is the first thing you should teach him. You should slap your thigh and say heel, eventually he will learn it.
