Types of Ball Valves: -There are five types of ball valves: single body, three-piece body, split body, top inlet and welded system. The difference lies in the way the valve parts, including the case containing the ball, are made and assembled. The operation of the valve is the same in each case. There are different styles connected to the bore of the ball mechanism itself.

Full Port: The full-bore ball valve is known to have an oversized ball, so that the hole in the ball is the same size as the pipeline, resulting in less friction loss.

· Reduced bore: — In reduced port ball valves, the flow through the valve is smaller than the  size of the valve line, resulting in a smaller flow area than the line.

· Port V: — A V port ball valve has a “v” shaped ball or a “v” shaped seat. This makes it possible to obtain linear flow characteristics that are even equal in percentage.

· Cavity Filler: Many industries have problems with residues in the ball valve. When the fluid is intended for human consumption, residues can also pose a health risk.

· Trunnion: -A trunnion ball valve has a mechanical anchorage of the balloon at the top and bottom, suitable for larger and higher pressure valves.

· Multiport: — The L valve can connect the central port to one of the side ports or disconnect all three, but it cannot connect the side ports together.
