What is a Massage Table?Massage tables come in many types and sizes. Choosing the right one for you, the customer, can be overwhelming but we're here to help!
Many customers call us after buying the wrong size massage table elsewhere and we'd like to help you avoid this error. Something like this usually goes; they like the look of a picture of a massage table on a website, they like the low price and then they test that carrying weight is safe. Press add to the cart if the carrying weight suits their needs and the new massage table will appear at their doorstep in a couple of days. Unfortunately, they believe that all massage tables are almost equal in width and height.
A massage table has a regular size of 28 "wide (71cms) and 73" (185cms) long. One reason many "lightweight" massage tables with a budget are so cheap is because 1. They are smaller in size (normally around 61cms wide) and have fewer materials as such 2. They are sold by specialist retailers who also sell whatever else they can import and make a profit on. As such, they literally purchase the cheapest massage tables they can find in Dubai. We are opting for smaller sizes, because they're cheaper.
Types
Popular types of massage tables:
Portable Massage Table
Almost every massage therapist begins with a laptop. Portable tables are the most affordable choice and are mobile. This is perfect if you don't know where you're going to work or if you're going to travel around your table to help promote your new company.
Stationary Table Massage
Stationary tables have the most professional look and sound. They are more stable and make the customers relax more easily. If you really want to become a full-time massage therapist you should invest in a stationary bed.
Electric Massage Table
Electric tables are built from the latest innovative technologies. They can be removed, and some have extra features to better enhance the client's massage experience. You should definitely invest in an electric massage table if you have the money for that. Here's the reason.
Folding Massage Table
Just like the portable massage table, folding massage tables are made for go-to therapists. You can easily store this once you're done with a folding massage table. These tables are the perfect choice for you, for massage therapists who have limited space.
Reiki Massage Table
Reiki massage tables have recently been developed and have gained considerable popularity in the massage market. Reiki is based on a philosophy of healing called "Ki." Ki comes from the Japanese word revitalizing and regaining the Creator's strength.
The Reiki theory is when the Reiki practitioner channels its "Ki" into the body of the injured individual. Reiki healing starts when prostate lies on the human. Reiki tables are long lasting and are recommended if you want to give your customer a truly rejuvenating healing experience.
Which ever massage table you select will come with a wide range of heights to suit you, and to allow for a wide range of treatments.
A typical range of massage tables ranges
from 60 to 80 cm, and this range of heights will cater for everyone. To check your massage table at which height you need to follow this thumb rule:
1. Stand on your sides with your palms straight. Clamp the pucks.
2. Measure the distance from your ground to your knuckles
3. The distance should be equivalent to your massage table height.
4. In the massage table, add a few inches in height to make the patient's body.
