This is the thought lingering in everyone’s mind right now. Was our response to the coronavirus pandemic an over-reaction and overblown? This culture and habit of banning everything, halting every process, providing blanket solutions for everything has done our nation irreparable harm. The disaster at the LG polymer plant is just the tip of the iceberg, as there will be many monsters which were hidden during lockdown, will resurface now. The lockdown has been against our inherent human nature. We don’t fear the disease we may get and from which we may die. We have emerged victorious from many diseases in the past although with differing levels of casualties. Bangalore has been the prime driver of technological advancement in India and it has suffered big losses in business opportunities and job openings.
