Best Dog Parks in Brisbane Northside

We all know how important exercise is. Not only is it important for us, but it is also important for our four-legged friends. Dogs need to have a chance to run around, get exercise and use up some of that energy they harbour. Daily walks with your dog are great, they get you outside and in the fresh air. But why not go one step further and take them to a dog park. There are a few great dog parks in the Northside of Brisbane. These parks are designed for dogs and letting them off leash.

Murrumba Downs – Blatchford Reserve

This is a good sized park with plenty of room for the dogs to run around. It is located within an everyday park that has a basketball court and dirt tracks, so you can take the whole family along. 

There are water stations for the dogs to hydrate. Bins and bags for cleaning up and a little bench to sit at while you let your dog play.

Mango Hill

There is a small park on the corner of Sunstone and Bonnet Parade that accommodates both your dogs and your children. There is play equipment for the kids to play. Water station, doggie bags and bins for the dogs. Along with space to run around there is also agility equipment for the dogs to exercise on. 

North Lakes

On Aurora Boulevard there is a large park that is very popular with the furry friends. There are two water stations, doggie bags and bins. For playing around there is agility equipment. While watching your dogs you can sit at one of two bench seats and a large covered sitting area. If you prefer to play after work there are lights so that you can see. There is also toilets, covered picnic area, large open field, skate ramps. 

Brighton – Decker Park

Within Decker Park there is a large, popular park with a beautiful view. There is plenty to do at the park including agility equipment, lots of running space and walking tracks around the Pine River. There is also BBQ and toilet facilities so you can make a day of it with the family. 

There are facilities for your dog including a water station and doggie bags. 

Fitzgibbon – Hidden World Playground

This is a great playground for both your kids and your pets. There are two separate play areas so that the furry kids can run a muck without children around them. There is seating area, water stations and doggie bags with bins. In the general play area there is magnificent play equipment for the kids, seating areas and BBQ facilities.

These are just a few of the great dog parks in the Northside of Brisbane. Remember when you go dog walking to these parks in Brisbane  ensure you take your leash with you so that you can get your dogs safely to and from the car. Once they are in the park, watch for other animals and enjoy your time out. Don’t forget to take a ball or two for a game of fetch!
