Critical Steps To Design Your Own CarportDo you want to protect your vehicles from extreme weather conditions or other factors that may harm them in any way? If yes, probably you need to design your own carport. Here the interesting thing is that you can design it on your own and here are the steps to do the same:
Set out the perimeters
Clean the area where the carport is to be built and set out the perimeters. Begin by measuring out from the wall of your home to the desired width and including parallel to your home, and then driving pegs into the ground to mark each of the four corners. Then, include simple difficulties into the ground just a little further past each peg in preparing for your string lines.
Connect string lines
Stretch string lines from one obstacle to the next, making a rectangle the size of the carport. Exclude the pegs, and the corners formed by the string are where the actual post footings will be found.
Check the space is square
Measure diagonally from one corner to the other to make sure the pegs are square, and if not, adjust proportionately.
Drill holes for posts
Dig a hole at each of the four corners to house your posts. The dimensions and depth of your holes will be decided by your soil sample and are covered in your building grant.
Make a datum line
This is a line to make sure the roof of your carport is level. Mark one of the right posts with a pencil at the height you need the roof to be, then, use your spirit level to mark the specific same height for all four posts.
After that, you may use the following steps:
