How to Calculate VAT in Excel (Formula + Template)

I will show you how you can quickly add or remove VAT in Excel. If you need to calculate VAT for one or two goods, then of course it is more convenient to use online VAT calculator, but if you need to calculation for a large group of goods, then it is more convenient to use Excel.

 Adding VAT

Price + Tax

=B4*(1+$C)

You need to insert this formula into cell C4 and stretch it down to all rows

Tax amount

=B4*(1+$C)-B4

Insert this formula into cell D4 and stretch it down to all rows

Removing VAT

Price without Tax

=B4/(1+$C)

Past the formula to cell C4.

TAX amount

=(B4*$C)/(1+$C)

Past to cell D4.
