Adjusting the Fuel Quantity:

In the diesel engines there is constant intake of the air irrespective of the rotating load and speed. When the injection quantity is changed with the speed of engine and the injection time is constant, output and the fuel consumption tend to get changed. Engine output is proportional to the injection quantity which is adjusted by the accelerator pedal.
