Emergency Money for the People Act: How New Government Order Influences American

Since the American economy survives hard times after the COVID pandemic, the government makes everything possible to reduce the consequences. What Is Emergency Money Act and How It Works

The document claims that every American and those who arrived here during the pandemic could receive financial support. According to it, the Department of the Treasury provides monthly funds for citizens with low income. Such help may last to 12 months and comprises 2000$ for each person. Moreover, parents and caretakers should receive additional sums for their children.

To receive such funds, you should turn to the local authorities and prove they match all requirements. After the confirmation of their candidature, the payments will come in two weeks.

Despite such sum cannot cover all needs, it allows you to maintain a decent lifestyle. The state says it is only the first step on the way to economic rebuilding, so we may expect more support lately.

What Citizens Suit the Guidelines 

There are several conditions for different classes of the population. This way the document developers try to cover the needs of every group and divine the funds accordingly. See what categories suit the demands:

• People of age: you should be older than 18 years to apply for such kind of support. Otherwise, you’ll be considered a dependent child. If so, your parents have to apply and get funds for each family member.

• US residents and those who arrived here since January 27th: it was a day of public emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Since that day, some visitors were unable to leave the country, so they have to live here and deserve help.

• People with an income lower than 130 000$ per year: in today's situation, the state cannot provide more help, no matter how essential it is for other classes. Only the neediest citizens will get help. However, we should wait for other acts when things get better.

Special Conditions and Benefits

In addition to general rules, there are some particularities for specific groups to make the process easier:

• Disabled people can apply for the full sum independently. 

Previous acts of similar content considered persons with specific needs as dependent ones. It works like parent-kid relations: only the caretaker could ask for benefits. Moreover, such funds were usually lower than payments for ordinary. 

This time they edited such mistreatment and allowed disabled people to apply for emergency money themselves. Surely, they still should be of age and earn less than 130 000$ per year.  

• Married couples with children should apply together

To facilitate the application process, the act considers families as a particular group of population. Families with a total income of less than 260 000$ may receive 4000$ per month. AS you see, the sum doesn’t change in fact, it is only a convenient way for couples to register.

The only difference is the special benefit for their children. The families get 500$ for each child, but not more than 1500$. As we can see, the state isn’t ready to support more than 3 children in one family.  

Despite the government trying to satisfy everybody’s needs, you should realize the magnitude of the crisis – even a country with a developed economy suffers from its consequences. Support from the state is a benefit for your position, but don’t think it's an ultimate solution. 

To survive a difficult period, you should take control over your finances: use credit cards and payday loans smartly, allocate your budget, and try to maximize the income.
