How Indian Students can Study MBBS in Abroad

Medicine is one of the most lucrative career paths across the world and the journey to becoming a doctor starts with an MBBS degree. Becoming a doctor and pursuing an MBBS degree is the dream of many Indian students. However getting admission for an MBBS degree in India is not a cakewalk affair given the quota system, tough entrance tests, and high cut off admission marks. Because of these reasons for most kids the dream of becoming a successful MBBS doctor gets shattered.

Also, there is a drastic difference between the number of MBBS seats available in India and the number of applicants. This also has made it difficult for most of the kids to fulfill their dream of becoming a doctor in India.
However, now Indian students who have dreams to become a doctor can study abroad and pursue their MBBS degree. Studying MBBS degree abroad is the best option for Indian students for there are many quality and cost-effective private institutions imparting the doctorate degree.

While each country has its own set of rules and eligibility criteria for Indian students wanting to pursue their MBBS abroad, here are the general eligibility guidelines for Indian students wanting to pursue MBBS among the top countries overseas like Ukraine, Russia, Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan.

1. The student is required to have attained the age of 17 years on December 31 of the year he is pursuing his admission in MBBS. However, there is no upper age limit to apply for MBBS abroad.

2. The student must have completed his 10+2 from a recognized board

3. The students must have obtained the aggregate percentage of at least 50% or above in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have studied English as a compulsory subject during his 10+2 years

4. A medical certificate is also to be submitted by the applicant at the time of the admission stating that they are not suffering from any kind of contagious disease.

5. Students have also to qualify the National eligibility entrance test. It is mandatory even if the student is planning to pursue medical studies abroad. The candidate should remember the upper limit for appearing for the NEET is 25 years for General quote candidates and 30 years for Scheduled casts and tribes and other back word casts.

The admission process to be followed for pursuing MBBS abroad

One the candidate has satisfied the eligibility criteria, the next step is the admission process to study MBBS. Here are steps how Indian students can study MBBS abroad:

1. First step is to select the preferred MBBS University abroad and check its eligibility requirements.

2. Most of the universities would require the applicant to appear for an entrance test to be eligible to study in their country. Also, the candidates are required to appear for an English proficiency test to be eligible to apply. Once all the tests are done and cleared by the candidates they are eligible to move ahead in the admission process.

3. Fill out the online application form of the university with all accurate details and avoid any mistake or fraud while furnishing the particulars

4. Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of a set of essential academic documents that includes birth certificate, class 10 and class 12 mark-sheets, NERT scorecard, school leaving certificate, etc.

5. Pay the application fees

6. After furnishing all the aforesaid steps, the applicants will get the admission letter

7. Applicants would then be required to send their passport along with original documents and letter of acceptance from the concerned embassy to apply for their student visa

8. Once a student visa is issued the candidate should make travel arrangements to reach the university before the commencement of the course.
