What is a Painting? What it means for Artists?

Paintings, as seen by the eyes, are a formation of lines, colors and different objects to give it a face or presentation. Artists have long incorporated their ideas and imagination into paintings on canvas. But, what if the painting doesn’t involve the use of colors or it is simply without a canvas? Would it be called a painting?

 

A painting is not just a work of colors and canvas, but a variety of things that an artist may love to work with. The work may includes lines, water colors, oil colors, simple black and white work drawn by pencil or any other tool that can actually draw on a piece of paper, wall or floor. For an artist, anything can be a canvas. They have the power to turn dull and drab into exciting, happening and meaningful.

While many artists are known for their signature technique, Linda Le Kinff has multiple. She hasn’t restricted herself, but set-free her spirit to explore an incredible range of mediums to accomplish a milestone in her life. Active for over 30 years, she has a wonderful collection of art to her credit.

 

She has traveled a lot and explored the world to learn and experience, which becomes evident through her beautiful creations.

 

Spending almost a decade in Italy, she mastered herself ancient Italian techniques. She gained mastery in gold leafing, engraving, tempera and various other forms of paintings by apprenticing with other artists. She has also studied lithography in France; sand and sumi techniques from Japan.

 

 

Anatole Krasnyansky, active at 89, is never like a traditional artist. His artistic excellence is the result of his years of hard work that made him famous globally.

 

In his youth, he studied architecture at the Kiev State Art Institute, Ukraine. As he was more interested in art, he frequently painted during his studies. After moving to the US, he began showing his art work in solo exhibitions and group. In Hollywood, he achieved success as an art director and scenic designer for movie productions and television. As he says, his work is all about human soul.
