Information Systems Course and Practice Areas

There are two types of graduation: the bachelor's degree and the technologist, each lasting 4 and 2 years, respectively. The focus of this course is to train professionals capable of creating technological solutions to determine the flow of information, through the development of software and computerized systems.

During college, the student studies subjects in the field of Mathematics, Administration and Computer Science. Much of this workload is dedicated to practical activities, in which the student will have the opportunity to test his knowledge and create his own programs.

One of the main areas of expertise for the information systems analyst is software development, modeling - creation of mathematical models capable of simulating real situations -, marketing and sales, technical support and education, as a teacher in computer schools, courses technicians and even universities.

The Security Specialist has to maintain IT security controls documentation. The professionals have to recognize the security gaps and prepare an action plan. They must suggest recommendation, create security policies and ensure they are implemented with support and mitigation during implementation. The Cyber Security Specialist monitors emerging through the IDS/IPS systems. They create awareness about security policy and security issues.

The Cyber Security Specialist takes care of the cyber security projects and makes sure they meet cyber security objectives. They work in close coordination with the stakeholders and other groups related to Cyber Security related matters. The specialist offers cyber security operations such as process re-engineering, automation, and documentation. The professionals recognize cyber security issues, devise and drive effective mitigation.
