Dark Web: A Step-by-Step Guide

The Deep Web is made up of all content that has not been indexed by conventional search engines.
That is, you will not be able to access it through typical search engines, such as:

• Google.
• Yahoo.
• Bing.
• Etc.
These search engines only cover a small fraction of the Internet (what we call surface web), so the rest of the online information is immersed in the deepest part, inaccessible to these conventional engines.

This deeper part of the Network makes up 90% of the entire Internet, which means that the surface part that we regularly browse is only 10%.
Come on, if the Internet were an iceberg, Google would only be able to show an outstanding little part. And, of course, many of the juiciest and most relevant data for a researcher are hidden in the part that remains "underwater".

Which leads us to ask ourselves the million-dollar question: what can you find deep in the Network?
Attention, I'll explain it to you below.

Well, in the title I have let myself be carried away by my detective passion, since in reality on the Deep Web does not hide the information (or not all), but is submerged by not indexing itself.

You may have heard more than a thousand times about "there are horrible things on the deep Internet and criminals use it to carry out their criminal acts."
It's true that there's some of that, I'm not going to deny it. Deep down there are always monsters and the anonymity offered by the Deep Web makes it an ideal place to hide illicit activities.

However, this is not the norm, as for the most part of this part of the Internet is composed of harmless information and data but very useful for a wasped researcher.
Some of the things that swarm around here are:
• Emails: Emails are private (or should be), so Google doesn't index them to your database.
• Dynamic content: web pages that serve as a response to certain parameters, such as online forms, registration data, surveys, etc.
• Restricted access content: All pages protected with passwords or with a Captcha (security measure based on question-answer dynamics).
• Files and documents: PDFs or DOCs that have been uploaded to the cloud, also files with extensions such as exe, rar, zip, etc.
• Unlinked pages: Pages that have been intentionally hidden from Google's eyes(0 to spiders),such as pages without any links to other websites.
• Internal networks: a large part of the Deep Web consists of internal and private networks of scientific and academic institutions. These are private databases used by the institutions themselves, and therefore restricted to outsiders.
But, in addition, a huge advantage offered by the deep Internet is the possibility to communicate and share information remaining anonymous.

This is very useful for:
• Document you for a case.
• Protect your identity while collecting information.
• Communicate with someone without third parties being interfered with.

Sure, you can cross your wires one day and use the Deep Web to delinquete, but I trust you, I trust you won't go to the dark side of the force and that this information will be used only for good.
