Who doesn’t love a beautiful website with unique designs? However, the websites can be beautiful but not necessarily functional. Many websites are designed creatively but can be confusing to navigate due to too many design elements and no clear direction. Website design in Cyprus should look beautiful and be easy to navigate. In this article, we will discuss the skills needed to be a web designer.

A website designer needs to have a good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT/ PHP. They should have a good understanding of frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Laravel. To make a Static SPA, HTML and CSS is enough. For dynamic websites, you need to have a good grasp of JavaScript to integrate with the backend. You need knowledge of GIT to work in a team to merge individual tasks effortlessly.

Apart from the technical knowledge, you need to have an eye for design. Knowing typography, color combination, and the easy navigating components in the website is also preferred. Always use fonts that are easy to read and see. Avoid using too big or too small font sizes. However, you can use extra-large text or color a word or two in a sentence to emphasize it.  

The color scheme of the website and logo of the company should match. You should make a color palette with Hex codes and use those colors only in the website design. For clear navigating, make sure to put the menu where it can be seen and navigate. Try putting signs and links to direct users from one page/ section to another.

However, if there is a UI designer, you most probably don’t have to think about color, typography, font size, and where to place different components on the website. But it is always good to have an idea about UI and UX design for any website designer. Moreover, knowing Illustrator and Photoshop will be an added advantage for job hunts.
