A statement issued by the official Saudi news agency said that in the first phase, 6,000 citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia are allowed to perform Hajj Umrah daily. In the second phase, from November 1, 5,000 foreign pilgrims can perform Hajj Umrah per day, and this capacity will increase to 20,000 per day.
Pilgrims are advised to submit their applications online to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj on a specified date. They can also choose to travel and register through tourism and pilgrimage agencies. Pilgrims may be regularly monitored for body temperature and, if necessary, placed in compulsory quarantine after the ceremony.
Saudi officials have announced that the gates of Mecca and Medina will be opened to all Muslims around the world with "natural capacity" as in the past, if the risk of a widespread outbreak of the Corona virus is completely eliminated.
